About
If you find yourself in Honolulu, make sure to stop by Paradise Poke Hawaii - Nuuanu, a hidden gem nestled at 1613 Nuuanu Ave. This seafood haven offers an assortment of poke bowls, fresh seafood dishes, and even tempting snacks that will undoubtedly elevate your dining experience.
The atmosphere is casual and inviting, perfect for quick takeout after a day of exploring the island. Parking is conveniently located right out front, but it’s best to visit early to avoid the midday rush—especially if you're in the mood for their sought-after musubi!
One standout offering is their poke bowls, where you can customize your order with fresh ingredients like sushi rice or white rice, and a variety of toppings including spicy ahi, limu ahi, and even unique options like yuzu scallops. The quality of the seafood is unmatched; you'll feel as if you’ve taken a trip to a coastal market with every bite. Customer Anna B.'s experience with the Saigon Cru Ahi perfectly encapsulates the delightful mix of flavors that this location is known for.
Beyond poke, Paradise Poke Hawaii excels in providing generous portions of their garlic shrimp plate, which comes as a complete meal, though be prepared for a bit of work getting through those shells! Customers rave about the quality and freshness, including the side options such as garlic noodles and tuna mac, which perfectly complement any main dish.
For those who prefer fully cooked options, you’ll find delightful alternatives that don’t compromise on flavor. Visitors like Maria-Elena T. lament over how their experience spoiled them for poke on the mainland, a testament to just how fresh and flavorful every bite at Paradise Poke is.
Be sure to save room for dessert—though small, their selection rounds out the incredible offerings available. As Jeanette E. discovered through team gatherings, the musubi crafted here is nothing short of perfection, leaving cravings that linger long after meals.
Whether you're a poke aficionado or a first-timer, Paradise Poke Hawaii - Nuuanu is not just a meal; it’s an experience steeped in the rich flavors of Hawaii. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy this tropical treat!
“ The garlic shrimp plate is generous, though you gotta get through those shells. The raw fish options are fresh and well made. They've got a small selection of desserts and musubi, and I can vouch for the quality of the baked salmon. If you're looking for the musubi, you should go early as they seem to run out quickly. Parking right out front, take out only. ”
“ I inhaled my two choice poke bowl so fast it felt like a fever dream. The Saigon Cru Ahi was absolutely phenomenal- spicy and complex witj coconut milk and lemongrass, and paired well with the comparatively milder and creamier spicy ahi. The greens were fresh and the rice was good. I ordered online and it was super easy and fast to pick it up, and the staff were very friendly. Would love to try their tasty looking onigiri and musubi next time too, and so many other poke flavors like yuzu scallops and the more classic green scallion ahi! They've also got Hawaiian combo bowls and some fully cooked options for those who cannot partake in raw seafood :) ”
“ Came here for a bowl. Got two kinds- the salmon and the limu ahi with cucumbers and sushi rice. It was a generous portion (like 2 meals for me!) and delicious. Amazingly fresh. I am ruined forever for poke on the mainland! The limu ahi was my favorite. Wanted to return but ran out of days on my vacation. Wish I could have some now! ”
“ Cute lil store 2 tables for eating in 2 and 4 seater. Choose your poke- with white or sushi rice- cucumber or seafood salad. Took about 15 minutes for 3 bowls and 2 plates. Friendly staff. ”
“ My coworker brought a bunch of musubi to work for our team gathering. It was so ono!!! (Delicious). I've heard of Paradise Poke, so I thought poke was all that they carried. Everything about the musubi was amazing. I had the goteborg and it was made to perfection, from the rice to the crisp on the edges of the sausage! I'm going to go there soon and satisfy this craving! ”
“ Great local establishment with super fresh poke bowls, bentos and Hawaiian Plate Lunch specialties. Service is fast & friendly. Limited seating area as most business is take out. Lots of traffic the short time I was there around 1:30 pm Hawaiian Time! So Ono! I'll be back for da smoked Ribs! Garlic Shrimp were tasty but way too much work to peal & eat. If you like da Hawaiian Kine of food, dis is da place! ”
“ The store is clean and is my go to for onigiri. The Kombu/Tuna Mayo is my favorite, but they have a nice selection of other onigiri. They also have desserts, drinks, cookies, NOMS, and other items including drinks and of course poké. Perfect for a quick lunch, or grab some food before heading to the beach. ”
“ We were in the area and I've been wanting to try this place out. I ordered the two choice and initially wanted ginger scallion (they were out) so I ended up getting the Spicy Hawaiian Alaea & Ahi FTW (Furikake + Truffle + Wasabi). My favorite was the FTW, you could really taste the truffle flavor. The fish was very, very fresh. However, this place is a little pricey and the poke bowls aren't really that big. We paid about $40 for 2 poke bowls. I'll probably go back one day and just get a one choice Ahi FTW. ”
“ Top poke bowl and the shrimp was delicious. Service is very good and friendly staff at all times. This is my go to lunch spot when I'm the downtown area , inside have all types of different drinks and desserts. Inside restaurant is very clean. ”
